Job description:

• To ensure that the school’s financial policies and procedures are followed.
• To oversee the accurate and timely update of students’ financial records.
• To reduce the school’s debtor profile by implementation of policies and procedures that will ensure the prompt payment of school fees.
• To oversee the timely and accurate maintenance and update of all financial information.
• To prepare year end accounts and periodic management accounts.
• To prepare budgets and periodic budget performance review reports.
• To liaise with tax and other related government agencies, ensuring that statutory requirements are met in line with the organisation’s procedures.
• To oversee the proper receiving, recording and banking of monies received, and providing daily accounts of such.
• To process payments, subject to proper approval.
• To ensure proper and timely bank accounts reconciliation.
• To contribute to the evaluation and development of financial systems and procedures.
• To ensure effective payroll management.
• To ensure the proper management of the accounts office personnel and other resources, for optimal efficiency.

Requirements:

• Not older than 45 years
• Minimum of a first degree in accounting, economics, banking and finance, business administration, or related discipline
• Professional accounting qualification and membership
• Minimum 8 years post qualification experience, with a minimum of 4 years spent in a managerial capacity.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Proficient in the use of MS office suite and other accounting software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good customer relation skills
• Candidates must be proactive, smart and result oriented
• Wellspring College is located within Kosofe LGA, so applicants that reside within its environs are preferable.
