FIFA has banned Coach Remi Amadi of Cofine FC, Akwa Ibom, for 2 years from all football-related activities globally on NFF’s recommendation.

The decision by FIFA is a consequent to a similar ban imposed on the coach by the Nigerian Football Federation Disciplinary Committee at its meeting of 16th August 2021.

Coach Remi Amadi was found guilty by NFF of attempting to manipulate the outcome of a match between Cofine FC and Bussdor FC five months ago.

The NFF requested that the Committee extend the sanction to have a worldwide effect, in accordance with Article 66, FIFA Disciplinary Code.

The worldwide effect was activated by the world football body’s Disciplinary Committee at its meeting of 5th October 2021.
