To combat young unemployment in all 774 local government areas in the country, the federal government has disclosed plans to create one million jobs.

Comrade Ayodele Olawande, Minister of State for Youth Development, announced in Abuja on Friday that the federal government is committed to leveraging digital technology to inspire, educate, and link young Nigerians to employment and opportunities in the insurance sector, according to.

The minister went on to say that the federal government is dedicated to improving financial inclusion, generating jobs, and encouraging young people to enter the insurance business.

The announcement follows the Rural Electrification Agency’s (REA) announcement that the Federal Government will launch a new rural energy project financed by the World Bank in November, to supply 17.5 million Nigerians with electricity.
