Fede Valverde shows violent side at Santiago Bernabeu car park

Real Madrid’s Fede Valverde was involved in a post-game altercation with Villarreal’s Alex Baena in the car park of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Saturday night, following Real Madrid’s 3-1 victory over Villarreal. Valverde punched Baena in the face, according to sources close to Valverde’s camp cited by Spanish publication Marca.

The incident allegedly stemmed from comments made by Baena during the previous match between the two teams, in which he reportedly told Fede Valverde, “Cry now, that your son is not going to be born.” Valverde and his partner Mina Bonino had a miscarriage scare in February, which is said to have made the comment particularly hurtful.

Valverde’s camp claims that Baena made similar comments to the Real Madrid midfielder during Saturday’s game, leading to Valverde confronting him after the match. Valverde is said to have told Baena that “family comes first and it’s untouchable” before punching him.

Baena denied the allegations on social media, stating that he had “NEVER said those things” to Fede Valverde and expressing his sadness over the incident. After being punched, Baena reportedly called for security and then complained to Villarreal’s delegate and a police officer.

The incident has sparked controversy in the football world, with many fans and pundits condemning Valverde’s actions. Real Madrid has yet to comment on the incident. It remains to be seen whether any disciplinary action will be taken against Valverde or Baena.
