Father-in-law defends ex-Liverpool star amidst backlash

Former Liverpool player, Sadio Mane faces social media backlash after the real age of his new wife, Aisha Tamba was revealed to the public.

Initially, conflicting reports had emerged regarding the bride’s age, with some publications alleging her age to be 26, while others reported Aisha Tamba to be in her late teens, the father of the bride has come out to settle the debate.

Mr. Tamba while addressing the situation surrounding Aisha’s marriage to Sadio Mane, reveals the age of his daughter to be 18, addressing why the former Liverpool star has to hold off on a honeymoon with his spouse.

“She is 18… It was more than two years ago.” he said, revealing the first time the couple started dating.

Explaining further what led to the union, Mr. Tamba was quoted saying;

“He probably saw something special in her and his parents appreciated her as well. They came to see me.

“We discussed as per the tradition, agreed on everything and waited for this day to happen.

“With the values and all that she heard about him, she accepted voluntarily. But as parents we also guided and advised her to freely make up her mind. God did what’s best for her.”

The age consensus of Mane’s wife doesn’t do much to win the Senegal international support, as a couple of social media users have aired their disdain towards the former Liverpool star.
