Family speaks on Nnamdi Kanu being poisoned in custody

The family of the detained Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has debunked rumors of his poisoning that were circulating on social media.

Prince Emmanuel Kanu, the younger brother of the IPOB leader, met with him on Thursday at the Abuja headquarters of the Department of State Services (DSS) and reported that he did not show any signs of being poisoned.

Prince Emmanuel has urged the public not to believe in the false rumors and called for calm.

He plans to visit his brother again on Monday to assess his condition.

In a Facebook post, Prince Emmanuel praised the efforts of IPOB in the struggle for liberation and called the movement divine.
