Britain, law firm seek consent of Nnamdi Kanu to take over case

The family of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has informed the Federal Government not to maltreat their son currently in the custody of Department of State Services (DSS).

His younger brother, Emmanuel Kanu, speaking to journalists in Umuahia, disclosed that Kanu is on the part of truth and has not committed any crime to warrant any maltreatment.

He declared that the IPOB leader was only demanding the freedom of Biafrans which is their fundamental human right; therefore, his rights should be respected.

Emmanuel Kanu warned the Nigerian government to handle their son with caution, stating that the whole world is watching.

He said, “My brother (Kanu) has awoken the consciousness of Nigerians about the goings-on in the country.

“He stood for the truth, and Heaven is on the part of anyone standing for the truth. My brother committed no crime, and the whole world is watching.”

In the meantime, there has been suspicion on how Nnamdi Kanu was repatriated to Nigeria.
