The family of Justina Aduragbemi Adefehinti, fondly known as Ogo Ade, has announced her untimely passing, expressing deep sorrow and calling for privacy during this painful time.

In a heartfelt statement issued by her elder brother, Taiwo Adefehinti to TopNaija.ng, the family described the loss as unimaginable and requested the public’s understanding as they grieve and heal.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Justina Aduragbemi Adefehinti (Ogo Ade), who left us far too soon. As we grapple with this unimaginable loss, we humbly ask the public to respect our privacy during this difficult time,” the statement read.

The family also addressed rumors surrounding Ogo Ade’s passing, clarifying that she was in good health following a 9-day trance and participated joyfully in the final Sunday service of the year. They noted that her sudden illness was unforeseen and that all efforts to secure medical attention were made until her passing.

“Contrary to some reports in the media, Ogo Ade was hale and hearty after the 9-day trance. Her blood pressure was stable, among other health indicators. In fact, she was more than cheerful during the last Sunday service of the year. When she developed the sudden illness that eventually led to her passing, all efforts were made to get her medical attention as she was rushed to different hospitals until she heeded the call of her Creator,” the family stated.

They appealed to the public to avoid speculation or the spread of false information, as it adds to their grief. Instead, they asked for prayers for Ogo Ade’s eternal rest and for the strength to endure this heartbreaking loss.

“We, therefore, ask for your prayers, not only for Ogo Ade’s eternal rest but also for the strength to carry on as a family united in grief. Your kindness and understanding mean more to us than words can express,” the statement concluded.

The Adefehinti family expressed gratitude to those who have extended their condolences and requested continued respect for their wishes during this period of mourning.
