Evans the Billionaire Kidnapper, Remember Him? Here’s what happened in His Trial
Evans

The case of Evans the Billionaire Kidnapper was one that took the internet by storm back when he was captured.

But right now as the media has shifted focus from his eyes, people tend to have forgotten the name, ‘Evans’.

Recently, the convicted felon, Chukwudimeme Onwuamadike known by the popular alias, Evans appeared in court for trial. But the trial did not go as intended.

The trial which was on Friday ultimately got stalled because of a fire incident that had affected his transportation to an Ikeja Special Offences Court. How convenient!

The kidnapper stands in trial together with Joseph Emeka for the attempted kidnap of the Chairman of Young Shall Grow Motors, Chief Vincent Obianodo.

Reports revealed that the court had on June 15 fixed Friday as the date for the court hearing for the evidence of Obianodo through zoom.

At the beginning of proceedings, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo revealed that there had been a fire incident that affected the transportation of the defendants.

“I was informed by the Officer in Charge of legal (OC) that there was a fire incident which affected the transportation of the defendants,” the judge said.

“For security reasons, the defendants can not be present in court.”

Oluwatoyin, then had to adjourn the case till July 25 for trial.

With the hearing stalled, hopefully the July 25 trial date won’t come with another drama or incident to stall the billionaire’s case again.
