Erik ten Hag singles out one Manchester United player

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has singled out the performances of four players following their narrow 1-0 victory over Brentford on Wednesday night. The win saw United climb back into fourth place in the English Premier League standings with 53 points, just behind Newcastle United on goal difference.

Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the game at Old Trafford, but it was the efforts of Jadon Sancho, Antony and Marcel Sabitzer that impressed Ten Hag.

Speaking to reporters after the match, Ten Hag highlighted Rashford’s performance, saying, “Yes, Rashford has been outstanding. But we can talk about almost every game about it and when he is not in the game, like Sunday, it is no good for us. We have to bring him into the game, and he also has to take responsibility. There are also other players.”

Erik ten Hag went on to praise the efforts of Sancho, Antony and Sabitzer, who he felt were all a threat throughout the game.

“I was really happy with the performance of Jadon Sancho, Antony and Marcel Sabitzer because all game they were a threat,” he said.

The win over Brentford was an important one for United, who had drawn their previous two matches against Burnley and Southampton. The victory saw them move back into the top four and keep their hopes of securing Champions League qualification for next season alive.

The performance of Rashford, Sancho, Antony and Sabitzer will be encouraging for Ten Hag as he looks to guide United to success in the final stretch of the season. With a number of important fixtures still to come, including clashes with Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester City, United will need all of their key players firing on all cylinders if they are to achieve their goals.
