Erik Ten Hag Eyes Mohammed Kudus To Rescue United
Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, is reportedly eyeing a move for Ajax star, Mohammed Kudus, during the upcoming summer transfer window. The Dutchman has added the 22-year-old Ghanaian to his list of targets as he looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
TalkSPORT reported that Ten Hag is keen to bring yet another former Ajax player to Old Trafford after signing Antony and Lisandro Martinez from the Dutch club last summer. Manchester United lifted the Carabao Cup trophy last month and the manager is eager to add more silverware to the club’s trophy cabinet.
Kudus caught Ten Hag’s attention with his impressive performance during the 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign for the Black Stars of Ghana. The manager is believed to have stepped up his interest in the versatile forward who can play as a centre forward, in an attacking midfield position, and on the right of a front three.
Kudus joined Ajax in 2020 and made 43 appearances under Ten Hag before the manager left for Old Trafford last summer. The Ghanaian is highly regarded for his speed, dribbling ability, and goal-scoring prowess.
Manchester United is not only interested in Kudus, as they have reportedly stepped up their interest in other players since their 7-0 defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League last Sunday. However, the club has not made any official announcements regarding their transfer plans.
