EPL: Wenger gives reasons for Arsenal’s 2-1 loss to Bournemouth
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has blamed his side for their shock defeat to Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
Wenger said mistakes from his team were to blame for Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth.
The Gunners looked to be heading for victory when Hector Bellerin gave them the lead early in the second half.
Two quick-fire goals from the Cherries won the game for Bournemouth.
Callum Wilson scored the first, taking advantage of poor keeping from Petr Cech who needlessly came off his line and Jordan Ibe scored the winner minutes later.
Wenger, after the game, expressed his frustration with the errors, telling reporters, “We were 1-0 up and suddenly we lost two goals and we don’t know where they came from.
“It is very frustrating. Overall we have to look at it in a very objective and harsh way we made mistakes we should not have made.
“The team that fights against relegation will fight and you cannot afford any concentration mistake.”
