Joanna, a Nigerian Gospel singer based in the US, has recently released a new single titled “Ephphatha”.

The inspiration behind the song, Ephphatha came from a series of battles that she faced and her continuous efforts to counterattack through prayer.

As she sought the face of God on the prayer altar, she was able to achieve victory and experience joy, which is reflected in the song’s lyrics and sound.

Ephphatha is an Aramaic word that means “Be opened”. The word is used by Jesus in the book of Mark 7:34.
