#EndSARsMemorial: Lagos CP apologises for harassment of journalists

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, on Wednesday, has apologised to journalists for any harassment faced while covering the #EndSARSMemorial protest at Lekki Toll gate.

A correspondent from Arise TV complained that journalists were threatened and prevented from launching drones to cover the event.

Responding to this, CP Odumosu apologised and said members of the police force had been warned to desist from any form of harassment. He said journalists were just doing their jobs and attributed the harassment to overzealousness of the officers.

He also said protesters who have been arrested will be promptly released after being identified.
