EndBadGovernance: One-million-man protest set for August 10
The Take It Back Movement, a prominent organizer of the nationwide EndBadGovernance protest, has announced plans for a one-million-man demonstration across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja this Saturday.
Mr. Sanyaolu Juwon, National Coordinator of the movement, confirmed the details in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja. Juwon emphasized that this upcoming protest marks a significant milestone in their ongoing campaign, which initially started on August 1, 2024.
“The Take It Back Movement, alongside various other organizers and groups, will lead a historic one-million-man protest on August 10 in each state and the FCT,” Juwon stated.
“This demonstration represents a pivotal moment in our EndBadGovernanceInNigeria campaign, which has evolved from a 10-day protest into a widespread and enduring movement.”

The nationwide EndBadGovernance protest, aimed at drawing attention to the severe economic and social challenges faced by Nigerian citizens, began on August 1 and is scheduled to culminate on August 10. While the protest has seen large turnouts, particularly in northern states, it has also faced disruptions from criminal elements.
Despite President Bola Tinubu’s nationwide appeal on Sunday, urging protesters to suspend their demonstrations and allow his administration more time, protests have persisted in cities including Abuja and Kano.
