Emir of Daura’s wife dies at 65

The Emir of Daura, Dr. Umar Faruq, on Friday morning lost his wife, Hajiya Binta.

The spokesman for Daura Emirate Council, Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the incident.

Hajiya Binta, 65, was said to have died of a natural cause.

Abdullahi said Hajiya Binta was buried a few hours after her death in Daura.

Hajiya Binta was said to have been survived by six children, among whom is the District Head, Dalhatu Faruq.

Sympathisers had since been paying condolence visits to the Emir over the incident.
