Eminem warns U. S presidential candidate to stay clear off his songs

American rap artist, Marshall Bruce Mathers III otherwise known as Eminem has warned the Republican party’s presidential candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy to stay clear off his songs while promoting his campaign.

This is in response to the Republican candidate making a performance of Eminem’s song ‘Lose Yourself’ during a campaign rally in Iowa State Fair.

According to the BBC, the Hip Hop star made the request via the performing rights organization, BMI in a letter traced back to the 23rd of August.

Vivek Ramaswamy, is a biotech entrepreneur, currently looking to unseat former US president, Donald Trump as the presumed 2024 Republican party nominee to contest the 2024 American presidential polls.

According to a spokesperson close to Ramaswamy’s group, the presidential aspirant has agreed to comply with the request by Eminem.

“BMI will consider any performance of the Eminem works by the Vivek 2024 campaign from this date forward to be a material breach” of its licence,” it added.

Addressing the use of Eminem’s lyric, the spokesperson, Tricia McLaughlin defended the presidential aspirant stating;

“Vivek just got on the stage and cut loose.”

“To the American people’s chagrin, we will have to leave the rapping to the real slim shady.” she humorously cleared.

Vivek Ramaswamy also made light the situation on Twitter, writing;

“Will The REAL Slim Shady Please Stand Up? He didn’t just say what I think he did, did he?”
