Elon Musk Renewing Donald Trump’s Twitter Privileges

Former United States’ President, Donald Trump looks set to make a comeback on Twitter, thanks to Elon Musk reinstating the billionaire’s social media privileges after carrying out an online survey to study audiences response of the former president.

Following Elon Musk’s tip, Donald Trump’s Twitter account has been reinstated.

The owner of the social media site polled its users on Saturday about whether Trump’s account should be reinstated.

“The people have spoken, Trump will be reinstated”, Musk tweeted later in the day.

52 percent backed the restoration, while 48 percent opposed it, according to the data.

After his account was deleted, Trump lost all of his followers, but in less than three hours, he had more than one million.

Early last year, the former US President was suspended for breaking Twitter’s terms of service.

President Joe Biden won the 2020 election, despite Trump’s frequent claims to the contrary on Twitter.

Allegations against the Republican include instigating an uprising that resulted in an invasion of the US Capitol.

Following his declaration that he would “never yield,” Trump’s followers marched to the structure housing the American legislature on January 6.

Prior to the end of his administration, Donald Trump was seen by most American audiences as a largely divisive figure that saw the President earn a social media ban both on Facebook and Twitter.

That looks to change following Elon Musk taking over Twitter as its CEO.
