Eid-el-Fitri: President Tinubu joins Muslims for Eid prayers in Lagos

President Bola Tinubu joined Muslim faithfuls for Eid el-Fitr prayers at Dodan Barracks in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Tinubu arriving at the Eid praying ground at 10:02 a.m., accompanied by top government officials.

During the prayer session, Tinubu, speaking through Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, emphasized the importance of tolerance and empathy among Muslims, urging them to uphold these values beyond Ramadan.

The prayer session, led by Grand Chief Imam of Lagos, Sheik Sulaiman Abou Nolla, highlighted the blessings of fasting and Ramadan as a month of grace, mercies, forgiveness, and acceptance of prayers.

The Imam called for unity among Nigerians, emphasizing its significance for national development.

He urged both government and citizens to provide support and ensure peace and harmony in communities.

Among the dignitaries present were former Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, Minister of Blue Economy, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, Lagos Council of Traditional White Cap Chiefs, Tinubu’s Private Secretary, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, and Lagos Head of Service, Olanode Agoro, among others.
