Eden Hazard Reportedly Blocking Real Madrid Player's Shine

Eden Hazard, the Real Madrid ace, is reportedly hindering the club from bringing back Brahim Diaz, the former Manchester City forward.

Diaz, who is currently on loan with AC Milan, is expected to return to Real Madrid next season after his loan spell ends. The 23-year-old signed for Real Madrid back in January 2019 for a transfer fee in the region of £15m and signed a six-year contract with the club, which will expire in 2025.

Real Madrid is keen on bringing Diaz back to the team for the 2023-2024 campaign, but the move is facing a stumbling block, as the La Liga champions will need to create room in their squad to accommodate him. According to Football Transfers, Eden Hazard is believed to be blocking Diaz’s return to Madrid next season.

The Belgian is currently surplus to requirements at the Santiago Bernabeu after being consistently overlooked by manager Carlo Ancelotti this season. Hazard is said to be not keen on leaving Madrid this summer, as he plans to see out his current deal, which expires in 2024.

Meanwhile, Diaz has been impressing on loan at AC Milan and is expected to return to Real Madrid with high expectations. The Spain international has been with AC Milan since September 2020 after agreeing on a three-year loan spell. With the deal expiring this summer, Real Madrid is hopeful of having Diaz integrated into their squad for the upcoming season.

Hazard’s time with Madrid has largely been described as a huge failure since securing a big-money move to the club from Chelsea in 2019. His blocking of Diaz’s return may further damage his already dwindling reputation at the club.
