Economic crisis: This is the fastest consequences I have ever seen since I was born – Datti Baba-Ahmed express concern

Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general election, has responded to the economic crisis affecting the country all round.

TopNaija reports that as the dollar rate to the naira keeps on skyrocketing, standing at N1,800 per naira, protests have erupted in various regions of the country in response to the soaring cost of living.

TopNaija understands that regions and States such as FCT, Kano, Minna, and Oyo, along with others joining in, have expressed concerns about the current situation in the country.

Nigerians who took to the street to share their grievances carried placards with different inscriptions such as ‘End food hike and inflation’, ‘The poor is starving’ and ‘Tinubu, don’t forget your promises’, amongst others.

Reacting to the development in a post on his official X account on Tuesday, Datti-Baba described the situation as the consequences of the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.

He wrote, “This is the fastest election consequences I have ever seen since I was born. It took only eight

“Months for everything to crumble.”
