€100m bid for Osimhen only gets you his shoes — Napoli president
Saudi Arabian club, Al Hilal took the internet by storm when they launched a €100m bid for Napoli and Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen for a contract worth €200m on the player’s side.
However Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has laughed off the Saudi Pro League side’s bid for Victor Osimhen, stating the bid can only get the Nigeria international’s shoes not his loyalty.
The Riyadh-based club has already had 2 offers for Osimhen rejected by the Serie A champions, with Aurelio De Laurentiis arguing the €100m bid is far below their valuation of the player.
“The much feared Arab bid for [Victor] Osimhen has so far been around €100m. And someone would say, ‘you don’t even buy us shoes,” he said as quoted by Calcium Napoli 24.
Al Hilal are believed to be preparing an improved offer for the Super Eagles star, with Italian publication, La Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that the Saudi club will be willing to offer the striker a new contract on improved terms.
Victor Osimhen is reportedly not considering a move to Saudi Arabia according to sources close to the club.
