There was a moment of chaos and confusion at the Eagle Square in Abuja on Monday during the inauguration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

An unidentified man attempted to breach protocol and approach the president on the podium.

Towards the end of Tinubu’s inaugural speech, a young man boldly climbed the podium, disregarding security protocols, in a bid to get closer to President Tinubu.

However, security personnel promptly intervened, preventing the man from reaching the president.

The man, dressed in traditional attire known as Babariga, carried a brown envelope as he made his way onto the stage.

It was reported that he had already attempted a similar act earlier, running across the parade ground towards President Tinubu while he was inspecting the parade on the motorcade.

Despite the security measures in place, the individual managed to reach the stage on his second attempt. However, security operatives swiftly apprehended him and whisked him away from the scene.

Journalists present at the event sought to interview the suspect, but they were denied access by members of the Department of State Services (DSS), who were present to maintain order and ensure the safety of dignitaries.
