Don’t be the reason someone ends it all — Omoni Oboli speaks on cyberbully

Nigerian actress and film producer, Omoni Oboli has issued a warning to those who are involved in one way or the other in cyberbullying.

Taking to social media, the filmmaker opined that the social media is becoming real life, as such one has to be kind with the words they say as it can damage people emotionally, which could make the victim decide to ‘end it all’

According to her, cyberbullying does not make one look cool but causes damage to others.

In her words;

“Social media is slowly becoming ‘real life’ so darling if you won’t take a knife to stab someone in real life, don’t do it on social media. Be kind with your words. Don’t damage people emotionally just to look cool and have people call you savage! It doesn’t matter how ‘woke’ you are, meanness will NEVER be cool! BE KIND! Everyone is going through stuff! Dont be the reason someone ends it all… Yes some people are that close”

This is coming after the actress, Omoni Oboli threatened to put some touts who disrupted her movie shoot behind bars.

In a video shared on her verified Instagram account some weeks back, the actress narrated her encounter with some touts who invaded her movie set.

The video showed the moment the miscreants interrupted the filmmaker’s set and refused to leave even after she told them that she obtained permission from “The Head of Railway Cooperation” to shoot there. Read more
