“Do this for Mohbad and you have me for life” — Iyabo Ojo to Tinubu
Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has made a heartfelt plea to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, urging them to ensure that justice is served in the case of the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad.
Amidst the swirling controversies surrounding Mohbad’s untimely demise, numerous fans have voiced suspicions about the involvement of the deceased’s former record label boss, Naira Marley, and his associate, Sam Larry, in the tragic incident.
Despite video evidence depicting the harassment and bullying Mohbad allegedly endured, Sam Larry has vehemently denied any involvement in the singer’s death.
Taking to her Instagram account, Iyabo Ojo expressed her commitment to supporting and believing in the All Progressives Congress (APC) if President Tinubu and Governor Sanwo-Olu can ensure justice prevails in Mohbad’s case.
The veteran actress emphasized the significant contributions of young talents like Mohbad who are striving to elevate Nigeria’s reputation on the global music scene.
She wrote:
“Honestly, I will believe and support APC if Mohbad can get justice… That boy’s soul is crying for justice. Autopsy needed, investigation seriously needed.
“Every day I read something about him, I shed a tear. No, he cried out, no one listened to him. How? Noooooooo, it’s not just my concern; it should be everyone’s concern… his soul needs to rest.”
Addressing the Nigerian Police Force directly, Iyabo Ojo urged them to undertake a thorough investigation into the matter, expressing her hope that such action would instill confidence in the country’s justice system.
She also urged political leaders in Nigeria, in her plea to protect and provide hope for young talents like Mohbad who are working to promote Nigeria on the global stage, even if the country cannot directly support their dreams.
