Liverpool hero calls an end to his time at Anfield and has bid his goodbyes to friends, teammates and fans.

When Origi is talked about, he would be remembered in good spirits, not only for his achievements, or his inputs in the team but for his personality on and off the pitch. But reports have come out that before he chose Milan as his next destination, another club in Spain had called for his services.

Of course, it won’t be of any surprise though, considering the player’s skills and abilities in the game, but it’s news when the reports add that he had declined a much lucrative offer from the Spanish club just to have an agreement with AC Milan.

Villarreal, were a side who looked to be optimistic in getting the Liverpool legend’s signature but failed to woo the star in their late bid to hijack AC Milan’s capture even after offering a lucrative deal.

Origi is out of contract at Liverpool at the end of June after having made 18 appearances in total for the club this season and finding the back of the net on six occasions that proved vital in their failed run for a quadruple.

He leaves the Premier League club in search to secure regular game time next season as he looks to be involved in the World Cup tournament in Qatar.

AC Milan are believed to have reached an agreement with the striker on the basis of a contract of €4m per year and are pushing to have him engage in a medical before he goes on holiday.
