Democracy Day: "Tinubu must go" - Nigerians protest economic hardship
Nigerians seem to have celebrated the June 12 Democracy Day in a different way by protesting due to high cost of living.
Some Nigerians, on Wednesday, took to the streets of Lagos to make their demands and suffering known to the Tinubu led Administration.
They had their placards up to protest against hardship and hunger in the nation.
TopNaija gathered that some protesters came out, stating that it’s time for President Bola Tinubu’s administration to be removed from power.
They anchored their demand on the economic hardship Nigerians are facing, stressing that “Nigerians can’t feed their families comfortably under Tinubu”.
The protesters displayed placards bearing messages such as, ‘President Tinubu, let the poor breath’, and ‘Reverse all anti-people, Neoliberal policies of privatisation’.
In a post on X, one of the protesters said, “We called for it and we are on the street in Ikeja Under Bridge. The tyrannical and oppressive government of @officialABAT must be shown the way out. We are hungry and angry. WeAreHungryProtest. June12Protest.”
In the same vein, in Abuja, aggrieved Nigerians gathered under the Berger Bridge to protest against the Tinubu administration.
