Delta: Suspected armed robbers shoots man dead
Suspected armed robbers have shot dead a man near the old premises of Union Bank in Oleh Community, Headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The deceased is simply identified as Omamuzo, a.k.a, Apere, TopNaija can report.
Details as to why he was killed were still sketchy as of the time of this report.
It was learned that the gunman numbering about three stormed a shop owned by a woman and ordered her and her customers to lie face down and submit their money.
The deceased refused and instead argued with the suspected armed robbers who shot him to death and made away with loots from the shop.
The Delta State Commissioner of Police, who has now been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Mohammed Hafiz Inuwa, confirmed the report in a telephone chat with our Correspondent in Warri.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya also confirmed the report in a telephone chat with our Correspondent in Warri.
The Police Image maker said, “Yes! it’s true. It is an armed robbery operation. A woman who came to make a report said she was at her shop selling when armed robbers about three came into the shop and ordered all of them to lie down and bring out their money but a man argued with them and he was shot.”
