Dele Momodu reaffirms support for Atiku

Dele Momodu, the Director of Strategic Communications of the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council, has reaffirmed his loyalty to his party and his commitment to upholding the rule of law in Nigeria.

In a statement titled “I stand on rule of law,” issued shortly after the inauguration of Bola Tinubu as Nigeria’s President, Momodu emphasized that the February 25 presidential election was manipulated by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Momodu made it clear that he would not abandon his party for the sake of convenience or personal gain. He expressed his unwavering support for the PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who has taken legal action to challenge the electoral outcome.

Momodu commended both Atiku and the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, for their initiative in contesting the results in court. He believed that the judiciary would ultimately determine the true winner of the 2023 election.

“I’m a loyal member of the PDP who owes absolute allegiance to Nigeria and its rule of law,” Momodu stated. He emphasized that his party, along with others, strongly believed that the last presidential election was manipulated by the APC, and that legal cases were already ongoing in court to address these concerns.

Momodu’s stance demonstrated his unwavering commitment to democratic principles. He expressed his support for Atiku’s decision to seek redress through legal means, believing that it was the only way to further strengthen Nigeria’s hard-earned democracy.

Despite the challenges and sacrifices involved, Momodu stood firm in his support for Atiku and applauded the efforts of other political figures like Peter Obi, who were actively promoting the ideals of democracy.

In concluding his statement, Momodu affirmed his dedication to the PDP, reiterating that he would remain steadfast in his support for Atiku Abubakar.

He emphasized that his position was not driven by malice or prejudice but by a genuine belief in the principles of democracy. Momodu’s unwavering loyalty and commitment to his party and the rule of law served as a testament to his dedication to the democratic process in Nigeria.
