Decide On Sacking Me After The Season—Jurgen Klopp to Critics

From bad to worse, it would seem for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp this season, as every angle the club and the manager turns, they get beat by their own inconsistency.

A once revered team in Europe that was last season at the brink of achieving greatness, has now seen itself become a shadow cast over a blank mirror.

It is safe to say that Liverpool’s current form has somehow divided its fan base on itself as a wall has built between Jurgen Klopp’s supporters and the supporters of the Merseyside club’s owners, Fenway Sports Group led by John Henry.

This has resulted in mixed chants from various corners pleading for either the exit of the German manager or the American business venture from the club, in hopes of turning things around.

For Jurgen Klopp though, the former Borussia Dortmund boss is very much positive on turning things around for the team, and to his defense, will prefer being judged towards the end of the season instead of the early hours of the season with the team dealing with multiple injuries and a limited squad.

Speaking to reporters during the press conference ahead of the Champions League game against Napoli, the Reds boss stated:

“People will look at me and say I’m tired or whatever but I’m not. I cannot use that excuse. I am not just here for when the sun is shining. I will give all I have. I am ready to play Napoli.

“The judgment for this will be later on in the season. Not 100% fair to judge this team currently. We’re missing some top quality with the injuries. We have to go through this. Some highlights, some blows too.”

“I’m 55 so I have a couple of trips to the toilet during the night but yeah the goal (against Leeds) was on my mind.” Klopp said in reference to the weekend’s loss against struggling Leeds United at Anfield.

Speaking on the opponent ahead of Tuesday’s fixture, Jurgen Klopp analyzed the Serie A team stating:

“If you watch football, you will know that Napoli are in incredible shape. Maybe the in-form team in Europe at the moment. This is not a game for massive rotation.”
