Deborah Samuel: Enoch Adeboye looks to cut costs on RCCG crusade in Sokoto
In light of the current events in deep Northern Nigeria, Pastor Enoch Adeboye looks set to cut costs on arrangements for a crusade in the North as he has postponed the event scheduled in Sokoto following religious tension over Deborah Samuel’s murder.
The deceased who was a 200-level Home Economics student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education, has caused uproar in the country from her gruesome death at the hands of an angry mob in Sokoto.
Last Thursday, she was dragged, beaten, stoned and burnt by an angry session of Muslims on the accusation of blasphemy.
In respect to that, the Pastor released a Facebook post Monday night announcing the shift of the planned religious event which will now hold virtually rather than on location.
Adeboye, who conveyed his message in parable, quoted Richard Halverson, the late American Presbyterian minister who served as United States Senate chaplain.
“Postponed but God turned it around. We Trust In Our God’s Big Picture Plan!” the Pastor wrote.
