The new year 2019 is certainly off to a great start for one of Nigeria’s most successful music artistes Dbanj as he has signed on to a management deal with South Africa based company, CSA Global, the same organization that is home to major celebrities across the world.
For many years, Dbanj has been in the forefront of breaking new ground- his collaboration with Don Jazzy remains one of the most iconic in the Nigerian music industry as MoHits had a decade long run before the partners went their separate ways.
Since then, not only has Dbanj remained a household name across the African continent, he has also reinvented himself as a mogul of sorts, floating the CREAM platform that seeks and makes new stars in entertainment.
His new deal is said to comprise actual business partnerships (including but not limited to new music releases, touring, brand endorsements) while he and CSA Global continue to manage the talent discovered on CREAM.

“This is a true media & entertainment collaboration across the continent,” says D’Banj. “As an artiste, I have enjoyed working with CSA for many years and I believe that when two strong entities come together, the table is set for success!”

This year marks fifteen years since The Kokomaster burst on the scene with Tongolo. There is no gainsaying in the fact that Dbanj has been an iconic pop star that has remained bankable, even at the times that he did not necessarily release new music. His legend has remained intact and he has been on some of the world’s biggest stage. Most recently, he shared the same stage with global figures such as Jay Z and Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Femi Kuti and Wizkid at the Global Citizen Festival in South Africa.

At CSA, he joins a long line of talent that have had the organization represent them- Akon, Djimon Hounsou, Kimora Lee Simons, Bonang Matheba, Wesley Snipes and Jean-Claude Van Damme are some of the names that have been on the company’s books in the past.

“The relationship with D’Banj has been five years in the making and it’s a blessing to work with such an industry leader. We’re excited to be working with him and DKM on the next chapter and help grow the continent’s entertainment industry,” says Davin Phillips, Executive Director of CSA Global talent.
