DBanj Gets Youtube Silver Play Button Award

Social media giant, YouTube began a set of week-long activities in Nigeria with ‘an evening with DBanj’.  At the event, they premiered a YouTube series based on the life of the entertainer titled “The Adventures of Koko Master”. They also presented him with a silver play button, an award for having 100,000 subscribers and above on a YouTube Channel.

Asides from DBanj who has 136,000 subscribers, Neptune3studios, TuBaba, Teni and Adekunle Gold will also be receiving the same awards through the course of the week. DBanj took to his Instagram to select 20 of his fans to celebrate this win with him.

In his invite, he said “Hello Kokolets and fellas! Join me on Monday, 17th June, for “An Evening With D’Banj”. It will be a night full of surprises and excitement!! I will select 20 people to come to celebrate with me, so make sure you are subscribed to my YouTube channel (link on my bio). Drop a comment in the Community tab to be selected.”

Last night, during the event, the selected fans had a meet and greet with the superstar. TuBaba’s ‘an evening with TuBaba’ is expected to hold on Thursday and he has also taken to Social Media to select a handful of fans.
