Davido’s Album ‘Timeless’ Surpasses 150 Million Streams on Spotify

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Davido, has received a boost amidst recent scandals as his latest album, ‘Timeless,’ surpasses 150 million listens on the popular global streaming platform, Spotify.

The acclaimed musician released the 17-track album just two months ago, featuring collaborations with renowned artists such as Asake, Skepta, Musa Keys, and Angelique Kidjo.

The album’s success on Spotify was announced on the streaming platform’s page, and Davido received congratulations for this achievement.

Earlier this month, Davido made a bold declaration about ‘Timeless,’ stating that it would reach one billion streams within the next month.

He shared a comment from a fan on his Snapchat account, emphasizing that this milestone could be achieved with just five streaming platforms.

The post which he reshared read; “Davido’s Timeless album is guaranteed to hit 1 billion streams across only 5 platforms come next month.”

Upon its release on March 31st, ‘Timeless’ made an immediate impact, accumulating an impressive 12 million streams within the first 24 hours on the global streaming platform Audiomack.

Notably, this marked the highest number of streams for a newly released album on the platform within its first day.
