The residents of Ogun state have accused the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun of allowing the influx of the okada riders, concluding that he is not proactive enough.

Olawale, a resident of Agbado Oja said Governor Abiodun should have known that the okada riders will move to the state after the ban by Lagos State.

“I must tell you that we do not have a governor in this state.

“Currently, look at our roads. You can see the state of this place. Where is the presence of a government?

“Now, the okada riders are here again. They ran from Fagba, Ikeja and other places.

“Our governor should have made plans to stop such if he is proactive,” he said.

A market woman (Name withheld) who said she lives in Ijoko also lamented the influx of the okada riders.

She said, “I don’t understand what is going on again.

“Recently, we keep seeing new faces in my area and they are Hausa okada riders.

“Later, I heard about the ban on okada riders in Lagos.

“Meanwhile, they are everywhere in Ijoko. It is not safe for us. Our governor should do something.

“If their trouble starts, nobody is safe.”
