Daniel Regha criticisizes Burna Boy, others for mocking new Miss South Africa 2024

Celebrity critic Daniel Regha has come for Nigerian singer Burna Boy and his colleagues after they mocked the newly crowned Miss South Africa, 2024.

TopNaija understands that the Grammy Awards singer, Burna Boy reacted after the announcement of the 2024 new Miss South Africa. This follows the withdrawal of Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina, who competed in Miss South Africa 2024.

Taking to the microblogging platform Twitter, aka X, Daniel noted that a deaf woman winning the Miss South Africa 2024 represents inclusivity.

Even though what happened to Chidinma was unfortunate, it remains hypocritical and biased to judge Mia, the winner, based on her skin color.

His words: “A deaf woman just won Miss South Africa for the first time, that’s a show of representation & inclusivity; What happened to Chidimma is unfortunate, but it’s also hypocrisy to mock the winner (Mia) based on her skin colour. That’s subtle racism, & the very same thing we are trying so hard to end.

“I am tired of Africans hating on fellow Africans; We are despised by many foreigners (racists), & also disunited amongst ourselves. Africa is the one place very African should be able to call home, but we continue fighting a never-ending war. The xenophobia, the tribalism, & ethinic bigotory is truly disappointing.”
