Dangote collaborates with Ogun industry chamber on trade fair

Dangote Industries Limited has disclosed its collaboration with the Ogun State Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the 10th Gateway International Trade Fair 2021.

The Chief Branding and Communication Officer of Dangote, Anthony Chiejina, on Monday, in a statement, declared that the group had settled plans to increase investments in the agricultural sector due to the on-going public policy focus of the Federal Government.

Chiejina stated that as part of the support of the organisation to the growth of the agricultural sector, the three million ton yearly fertiliser plant it was presently building at Ibeju Lekki, Lagos would be launched soon to enhance agricultural activities in the nation.

He clarified that all the company’s subsidiaries would be at the trade fair and appealed to public members to take advantage of this year’s fair to collaborate with the group for business opportunities.

As indicated by him, Dangote group has also launched the expansion of six large scale rice milling plants in six states, namely Kano, Jigawa, Zamfara, Niger, Kebbi, and Sokoto, with a joint total milling capacity of 1.5 million per year.

He said, “We are also significantly involved in the oil and gas sector, with an on-going construction of one of the world`s largest petroleum refineries.

“This will not only put an end to the embarrassing importation of products into our crude oil rich country, but will also significantly boost our intra-African trade position.”

Chiejina further said that it was only by developing the agriculture of the country with its numerous value chains that Nigeria could guarantee justifiable, wide-ranging economic growth that created jobs for the young population.

The statement stated that the trade fair titled ‘Remodeling agriculture, commerce and trade beyond Nigerian borders with modern technology’ would take place in Abeokuta between April 2 and 12, 2021.
