Dangote Cement appoints Berlina Moroole as director

Dangote Cement Plc has appointed Berlina Moroole to its board of directors as a non-executive director, TopNaija reports.

According to a notice filed by the firm with the Nigerian Stock Exchange, the appointment is subject to approval at the company’s next Annual General Meeting. Moroole is the chief internal audit, risk and sustainability officer for Motus Holding, according to the company.

It said, “She was previously CRO and chief audit executive for Liberty Holding Group, board member of a schedule-three public entity in South Africa (Legal Aids South Africa) and an Audit Advisory Committee member for one of the United Nation agencies, UNFPA.

“She is also a former Group CRO and CAE of a listed entity, Partner at Deloitte, Senior Manager for SARS internal audit department and internal auditor at CSIR Corporate Audit Services.”

Dangote Cement Plc is a Nigerian multinational publicly traded cement manufacturer headquartered in Lagos. The company is engaged in the manufacture, preparation, import, packaging, and distribution of cement and related products in Nigeria and has plants or import terminals in 9 other African countries.
