Damilola Adegbite breaks silence on excruciating battle with neck pain

Nigerian actress/model Damilola Adegbite recently took to social media to open up on her ongoing battle with excruciating neck pain.

The actress revealed at great lengths what she has been going through to for relief.

In a heartfelt post, Adegbite detailed her year-long ordeal, describing the debilitating effects of the pain on her daily life.

Despite resorting to potent painkillers, she found little respite, often incapacitated for days at a time. Coupled with neck pain were debilitating migraines, rendering her existence a constant struggle.

“I have been on the strongest of pain killers for too long. They numb the pain for a bit and it’s back to business as usual. And of course with neck pain, comes migraines. It has been hell. I started physiotherapy over a week ago and I have noticed the pain is less.” Adegbite revealed.

Taking matters into her own hands, Adegbite embarked on a physiotherapy journey over a week ago, noting a significant reduction in pain levels since then. Encouragingly, she disclosed having only resorted to painkillers once since starting the therapy—a noteworthy departure for someone accustomed to relying on medication for relief.

However, the road to recovery is not without its challenges. Adegbite revealed that she’s been advised against lifting weights or engaging in strenuous activities for at least three months, a difficult adjustment for someone accustomed to an active lifestyle.

To manage her condition, Adegbite humorously referred to her neck brace as a “beautiful neck fashion accessory,” which she dutifully wears for several hours each day. Her candidness and determination to overcome the pain serve as a testament to her resilience.
