It sucks to be Cristiano Ronaldo now, as ever since the reports that he wants out of Manchester United, a lot have been said, memes have been created and banters thrown at the player.

And now, it is revealed the media is following Ronaldo’s every move regarding his potential exit from Old Trafford.

According to reports from Portugal, specifically from a television channel known as Sport TV, it is revealed that the player is pushing for a sensational return on loan to where it all starting; Sporting Lisbon.

According to the television channel, the player’s car was spotted in the club’s home ground of the Estadio Jose Alvalade, sparking rumors of a potential return for the 37 year old.

It isn’t any surprise that Cristiano Ronaldo would be eyeing a move back to where it all began for him as prior to this moment, the 5 time Ballon d’or winner has revealed his intentions of one day returning to the club.

It was a club where he impressed then Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson while Ronaldo was a teen when the club played against the Old Trafford unit in preseason.

Sporting Lisbon brought about Ronaldo’s career, bringing him into the spotlight of Manchester United and then on to Real Madrid.

Compared to Manchester United’s showing last season, Cristiano was one of the positives as he was able to score 24 goals overall and 18 goals in the league only behind eventual golden boot winners, Heung Min Son and Mohamed Salah.

His performances even saw him clinch a place in the PFA Team of the Year.

On his exit from the club, the Old Trafford side have repeatedly denied any intentions to sell the Portuguese, with new manager, Erik ten Hag saying:

Cristiano Ronaldo next club

“Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale, he is in our plans – he’s not with us due to personal issues. We are planning with Cristiano Ronaldo for this season, that’s it”
