Cristiano Ronaldo Names World Cup Favorites

The Qatar World Cup tournament is one Manchester United player, Cristiano Ronaldo is looking forward to and can be considered his last in a Portugal shirt.

Though the star will preferably want his team to compete for the trophy and win it eventually, Cristiano highlights there are other big guns in the tournament ready to rival Portugal for the trophy.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal, has identified seven potential World Cup winners.

Ronaldo is “extremely optimistic” that he can bring honor to his nation in Qatar and believes that England also has a chance to win the championship.

The team of Fernando Santos is in Group H with South Korea, Ghana, and Uruguay.

“I am very optimistic. We have a fantastic coach, we have a good generation of football players,” Ronaldo said in an interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV.

“I’m looking forward to an amazing World Cup… [It’s] gonna be tough. Extremely difficult. But everything is possible. But of course we’re gonna compete.”

France, Spain, Argentina, Germany, and Brazil were mentioned by the 37-year-old as important opponents.

And if he assisted Portugal in winning the World Cup, Ronaldo said he would leave football immediately.

He continued, “I think England also have a chance.”
