They Came For Me But I Owed Al Nassr My Word--Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has been advised to lower his current salary if he plans to stay in Europe by Italian football agent Silvio Pagliari.

He claims that signing the 37-year-old Portugal captain at his current salary would be illogical for any club.

After having more than six months of his contract with Manchester United cancelled last month, Cristiano Ronaldo is now a free agent.

The football legend’s playing time was restricted under new manager Erik ten Hag despite his 24 goals scored for the Red Devils in all competitions the previous season.

The club then terminated his contract after the former Real Madrid and Juventus superstar gave an explosive interview to Piers Morgan in which he launched a scathing attack against the team and the manager.

The only team seriously interested in signing Ronaldo is the Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, and Pagliari said that he is no longer worth investing in.

In a quote attributed to Pagliari, he told CalcioMercato:

“At those figures, he [Cristiano Ronaldo] is no longer worth investing in, it doesn’t make sense and there isn’t a European team that can afford to sign him.

“Either he decides to downsize or he will end his career in some happy oasis.”
