Criminal With 2020 Murder Case Finally Sentenced To 49 Years Imprisonment

A man from Houston Texas has been sentenced to 49 years in prison for killing another man.

According to reports, 27-year-old Darryl Wayne Johnson Jr. was convicted of fatally shooting 32-year-old Kendrick Johnson in March 2020.

Kendrick Johnson was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds in his car, and was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

It was revealed during the trial that Darryl Wayne Johnson Jr. was out on bond for the murder of his friend, Jalon Freeman, at the time of Kendrick Johnson’s killing. Freeman was shot and killed in January 2020.

During the sentencing hearing, family members of Kendrick Johnson spoke about the impact of his death on their lives, while Darryl Wayne Johnson Jr. addressed the court and maintained his innocence.

Ultimately, the judge handed down a 49-year sentence to Darryl Wayne Johnson Jr., citing his prior criminal record and the nature of the crime as aggravating factors.
