COVID-19: Lekki Gardens distributes food supplies to 1,000 families
Lekki Gardens Estate Limited, a real Estate and Property Development Company, has announced a donation of essential food supplies to over 1,000 families in its host communities in parts of Lagos State as its contribution to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on homes.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Lekki Gardens Estate, Mr Richard Nyong, was quoted in a statement as saying that the essential food materials were for families in Awoyaya, Parapo, Lakowe, Olokunla, Alabeko, Owode, and Ikate-Elegushi, all in Lagos State, where the firm’s estates were located.
He said at an average of four persons per household, the company was supporting and touching the lives of over 4,000 persons across the seven communities.
Nyong, who was represented by the Chief Engagement Officer, Lekki Gardens Estate, Romeo Akinwade, said the country and the world were united in confronting the pandemic.
He said, “Our organisation is also standing together with the government to ensure that we leave no one behind.
“Hence, we appreciate all who are partnering with us in this initiative to touch as many lives as possible, whether it be our staff, our host communities or our residents.”
He said the act of good neighbourliness by Lekki Gardens Estate was consistent with its primary business goal which is living a fulfilled life – better living; more wealth; and a secured future.
