Confusion as Victor Osimhen transfer gets implicated by fraud allegations

Transfers are never a simple thing as lots of complications apply in every deal that’s ever broken, and now Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen is implicated in one.

It is reported that the current Napoli striker’s move from Lille is under investigations over suspected fraud allegations.

The report has led the police to raid the offices of Napoli and Lillie on the grounds of the suspected fraud that resulted from the transfer deal.

The Nigerian International secured a move last season from Lille to Napoli in a big money move and one that stands a record fee for a Nigerian moving to an European club in current times.

In the report shared by Il Mattino, La Repubblica, and Sky Sport Italia, during the course of investigating the deal, the offices of Napoli in Rome and Lillie in France, were raided.

French media outlet L’Equipe also speculated that in the deal, which was announced to be at 81 million pounds, Lillie reportedly received 36 million euros.

It remains to be seen how the investigations go or how the outcome might turn out for both parties, or if the player himself is affected or implicated in any way.

But as the current transfer summer goes down, the Napoli forward continues to raise interests from a number of European clubs, particularly in the English Premier League.
