Come Thou Fount – Celtic Worship
Scottish-based Contemporary Christian gospel band Celtic Worship releases a brand new single titled, “Come Thou Fount” with Integrity Music.
According to the group, “This traditional hymn, originally written in 1758 by Robert Robinson, reminds us that God is the One who takes initiative; He sought us when we were still strangers, rescued us, and takes us to arrive at home.”
The song [with a blend of traditional and contemporary Christian music and their native sonorities] comes with a video, and serves as Celtic Worship’s first single off their anticipated new album, “Morningtide”, set to release this fall.
The instrumental melody on this new song is arranged by Mhairi Marwick [fiddle] and Scott Wood [bagpipes and whistle], with the group’s vocalists Steph Macleod and Naomi Stirrat putting in unique vocal arrangements and performance.

Lyrics: Come Thou Fount By Celtic Worship.
Come Thou fount of every blessing,
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace,
Streams of mercy never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above,
Praise the mount, I’m fixed upon it,
Mount of Thy redeeming love.
Here I raise my Ebenezer,
Hither by Thy help, I come,
And I hope by Thy good pleasure,
Safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
Wandering from the fold of God,
He to rescue me from danger,
Interposed His precious blood.
Oh, to grace how great a debtor,
Daily I’m constrained to be,
Let Thy goodness like a fetter,
Bind my wandering heart to Thee.
Prone to wander, Lord I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love,
Here’s my heart, Lord take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above. (3x)
