CNN Sacks Worker Of 17 Years, Don Lemon

Popular anchor of CNN, Don Lemon has been reportedly sacked.

The 17-Years working  anchor had  co-hosted its morning show and the reason behind the firing was based on accusations of misogyny and misbehaviour, including on-air remarks by Mr Lemon in which he said Republican Nikki Haley was not “in her prime”.

The remarks were widely decried as sexist and sparked widespread criticism. Mr Lemon later apologised and agreed to participate in “mandatory training” to address the incident.

However, his reputation was further clouded by a report from Variety earlier in April, which detailed accusations of misogynistic behaviour toward his CNN colleagues. A representative for Mr Lemon denied the reports.

Mr Lemon expressed shock at the decision on Twitter, saying he was “stunned” and had not been given any indication that he would not be able to continue his work at the network. CNN issued a statement calling Mr Lemon’s description of events “inaccurate” and saying he had been given an opportunity to meet with management.
