CNG Accuse CBN Of Insincerity With Naira Solutions

on

The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has accused the Presidency and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) of being insincere in their response to the naira scarcity situation.

The CNG noted that despite the President’s directive to the CBN to obey the Supreme Court rulings, the situation is getting worse.

The group alleged that the President’s statement was a deception, and the CBN governor was rehashing his 1984 currency review policy, which caused mass suffering and death of citizens.

The CNG called on the National Assembly to intervene and rescue the image of the judiciary and the CBN, which they observed had been scandalized by the President and the CBN governor.

The group also called on the state governors to meet with the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to fashion out a way to stop the nation from drifting into deeper crisis.

The CNG urged all Nigerians to remain vigilant and watch the direction the country is headed, and to rise and speak up against these unwarranted injustices.

The group also called the attention of the international community to note that responsibility should ultimately lie in the President and the CBN governor in the event of any rupture in the system, as a result of their deceptive, insincere handling of the issue of these murderous economic policies
