If there is anyone that hates Premier League club, Man United without having affiliations to Liverpool, Manchester City or Chelsea, then its former Manchester United player, Angel Di Maria’s wife, Jorgelina Cardoso.
Of course, Di Maria himself has shared same sentiment of hatred for his former club, revealing with time, he came to regret the decision.
But for his wife, Jorgelina Cardoso, she regretted the move even before he was about to make it as she revealed about the whole drama.
The chance for a change of scenery had come for Angel Di Maria to move away from Real Madrid as Man United came calling.
According to Jorgelina Cardoso, it was an opportunity that came with better financial incentives which Di Maria couldn’t let go.
The Argentine later ended up at Manchester United from Real Madrid in 2014, in a £60million deal just like recent Man United signing, Carlos Henrique Casemiro.
Although the difference was that Di Maria ended up giving underwhelming performances for the Old Trafford side which ended with him becoming very much a flop, a move he ultimately regretted.
The Argentine later moved to Paris Saint-Germain almost immediately, after a one year spell at Old Trafford, enjoying afterwards 7 successful seasons in Ligue 1.
Di Maria now joins Serie A side, Juventus this summer for the 2022/23 campaign.
Speaking of the move to England and Man United, that scarred the two for life, Jorgelina Cardoso said on an Argentine TV show, LAM about the incident;
“Angel came to me one day and said, ‘Look at this proposal from Manchester United’.
“I didn’t want to go, I told him to go alone. ‘Let’s go both of us’, he replied. It was a lot of money, more than the Spaniards had offered.
“So, we went. If you work in a company and someone offers you double the salary, you go running.
“We were friends with Gianinna Maradona, Sergio Aguero’s wife, and we travelled to Manchester on vacation for a year.
“It was always horrible! We came home and I said: ‘If you’re ever transferred, make sure it’s anywhere in the world but England.’”
