ABOUT/EARLY LIFE
Chidinma Ekile, who is known professionally as Chidinma is a Nigerian gospel singer and songwriter. She was Born in May 2nd 1991.

She is originally from Imo State in the south eastern part of Nigeria but grew up in Lagos where her parents reside till date. while growing up, she always had a passion for music and was a church choir member in their village.
EDUCATION
She completed both her primary and secondary school education in Lagos, Nigeria. And later studied Sociology at the University of Lagos, Although she initially wanted to study Mass Communication but her admission was declined into the University of Lagos due to her advancement in the aforesaid competition.

In Chidinma’s interview, she said that she has always taken school seriously and her decision to enroll at Unilag was inevitable.
CAREER
The peak of her fame came in 2010 when she became the winner of Project Fame 3. Project Fame, also known as Project Fame West Africa or MTN Project Fame West Africa, is a music talent TV reality show filmed in Lagos and aired in the West African subcontinent. This reality show gave her the much-needed musical experience and career advancement. Before she took part in Project Fame 3, she had always admired the show and always wanted to be a participant. In 2010, Ekile dared to take part in the show’s casting. The singer had to compete with over 8000 other singers who wanted to show their talents that year. She got lucky and was chosen for training along with 17 other participants. They received training in vocal, oratory and choreography for two and half months, which enhanced her music career.

By the end of season 3 in 2010, she emerged as the winner, going home with a valuable prize of N2.5 million, a fancy 2011 Toyota RAV4, and a production deal. After the delightful triumph, she began to work on her album. The singer collaborated with several producers, and each of them brought something unique to the overall result. In February 2011, she released her first two singles. One of the singles, Jankoliko, was recorded by Sound Sultan. In October of the same year, she released two other singles, Kedike and Run Dia Mouth. Ever since her first release, the singer has risen to great fame, releasing more amazing songs. In May 2013, Chidinma signed an endorsement deal with MTN Nigeria. Collaborations with other talented singers and producers have allowed her to create truly high-quality music that her fans appreciate.

Chidinma has released over twenty songs, both collabos and singles. One of Chidinma’s most popular hits is Fallen In Love, which was released in 2017. Its video currently has over 86 million views on YouTube.
